Acoustic Foam

This was an R&D project for a procedural and versatile foam material often seen in acoustic panels.

The material is build as a volume medium and is using nothing but mathematical noise cleverly layered to control shader behaviors such as light transmission, subsurface light scattering, reflectiveness, roughness and surface bump.

This means that it is 100% procedural and as such requires no geometry unwrapping or additional texture mapping in order to work.
